Hunter Orange State Requirements

Before you go hunting, it is important to know the hunter orange requirements for your state. Georgia's hunter orange requirements require hunters to wear a blaze orange vest or hat that covers 500 sq. inches above their waist. You should also ensure that the members of your hunting party are wearing the proper attire and are easily visible in the woods. The International Hunter Education Association has a list of requirements for each state.

Colorado requires that you wear at least 500 sq. inches of fluorescent orange over your waist if hunting with a firearm. Also, a blaze orange hat must be worn.
