After harvesting record deer in some areas, state officials in Minnesota are making changes to their deer hunting regulations to boost the deer kill in the fall. To allow hunters to harvest two antlerless deer, a special two-day hunt for deer will be offered in October. This hunt will take places in high density areas in the northwest, and north metro areas. Officials hope that this special hunt will decrease the number deer killed in fall.
